[Television] Scream - Season 2, Episode 6: "Jeepers Creepers."

*Spoilers*

Emma is really, really annoying me. Why go the that funfair, on your own, in the dark to meet dead guy Eddie? She's an idiot. Same for Noah, really. Just because he has survived before does not mean that he will survive now. Although, I would be gutted if he died as he is one of my favourites. Audrey admits to Noah that she brought Piper to Lakewood because she wanted to do a documentary on Brandon James, and she insists that she did not know anything about the murders - how true is this, really?

It seems Kieran is a bit on edge with how he feels with Emma, to be honest, me too. I liked her a lot in season one, now I really don't.

Brooke got all badass with Mr Branson but looks like more fool her. The killer comes into the hotel room and chops his hand off and burns it with an iron. Gross. Brooke was right to question why Seth lied about his whereabouts the night Jake died. He said he was with the psychology teacher, but, we now know he was waiting in that room for Jake, who was apparently going to give him ten grand to stay away from Brooke.

I can't help but think Stavo has some underlying motive, perhaps to do with Brooke.

Why were Riley's emails sent to Emma's dad sent from Emma's IP address?

Bit of a slow episode, I used to be able to write loads but lately that does not seem the case.

Oh - I don't think I caught any moth-man references either.

[Television] Scream - Season 2, Episode 5: "Dawn Of The Dead."

Dawn of the Dead is one of my favourite Romero films. Good title choice.

*Spoilers*

Just like Dawn of the Dead, the school went into lock down (Dawn locked down the shopping mall) after Jake's body fell from the rafters in the school theatre. Poor Brooke had to stand there still whilst Maggie took photographic evidence of the body. She's distraught - we can see. Annoyingly, further along the series Brook asks Maggie how long she thinks he has been dead, Maggie says 2-3 days and the Sheriff removes Maggie from the case due to her giving away important information. Oh dear.

I guess the main question is: how did Jake's phone end up in Emma's bag? Also, after this crazy girl fight with Emma and that idiot who pranked Audrey, Emma gets locked in a room by her psychology teacher? This teacher is off to me and I don't like her. She's always offering support to the Lakewood 6, well, 5, and she's been caught recording conversations (by the viewer, not the characters). Emma seems to be going absolutely crazy. She's hallucinating and acting out a lot, she's not making sense, she's smashing windows. She's totally drawing unwanted attention to herself. Would not surprise me if she was the killer and she was blacking out and doing this, whilst playing the victim. A bit like Fight Club - two personalities and does not even realise. She has a call from the killer, and she now knows that this is real and there is a new killer... finally.

Kieran's cousin, Eli, offering to get rid of the phone - odd.
Stavo's drawings of the Lakewood 6 getting brutally murdered - odd.
Stavo's dad, the Sheriff, not questioning his son about the mask in his room - odd.
Kieran has a gun in his locker, understandable that he wants to protects his friends, but - odd.

I did, however, feel bad for Stavo when he got jumped by all those students, all because of Audrey... she's winding me right up. She had something to do with this. What the Hell is going on right now?
We end the episode with Noah taking Audrey's phone and seeing the GIF of her on it where she is next to Jake's corpse. Big shock to Noah... let's see what he does with this information.

[Television] Scream - Season 2, Episode 4: "Happy Birthday To Me."

*Spoilers*

Audrey tries to bury that cork screw that was left in her car, only for it to turn up in her bed... nice.

Stavo seems to be obsessed with the 'Lakewood 6' and is drawing some kind of comic based on them. The end drawing is that of Emma, with a knife in her head.

It's Kieran's birthday and Emma was just going to do something as a couple. However, his cousin tells her he wanted something big so she has a party at her house. The cousin and Emma share an awkward moment where they look as if they're going to kiss. Not good. Anyway, they are luckily interrupted by Brooke who knocks on the door. In her hand is a very expensive tequila that is apparently from Jake. (The viewer knows it's not from Jake, because, well, he died a couple episodes ago.) Turns out this tequila has been spiked and everyone at the party is off their heads and hallucinating. Audrey 'sees' Rachel and kisses her, turns out it's actually Noah and he, Audrey and Zoe share some weird three way kiss. Emma follows the girl she sees in her dreams, only to be attacked outside by someone with the Brandon James mask. She is saved by her dad.

Noah has lost his shot with Zoe which is sad. Emma realises that if what she saw was not a hallucination, then there is another killer on the loose and it is happening all over again. Kieran's cousin is trying to mess with Emma and seemingly turn her off of Kieran, how mean.

Back to Stavo - his dad (the Sheriff) finds a Brandon James mask in his room. However, I am not putting too much thought into this. Any horror nerd likes to collect horror memorabilia - no matter how morbid.

The episode ends with Brooke on stage competing with four other girls in a pageant. In sheer Carrie style a banner comes down from the ceiling, pouring blood all over Brooke and her lovely white dress, and Jake's body lands in front of her. How heartbreaking for her. I liked the homage to Carrie, though.

Really good episode. I am still left wondering who the killer is.

[Television] Scream - Season 2, Episode 3: "Vacancy."

*Spoilers*

So Audrey finds Jake's body in that storage unit with a note pinned to him saying "See how I finished the job for you, Audrey?" That's a bit weird. She obviously can't call the police as that will incriminate her and whatever she has done in season one. So, she leaves his decaying body there until she returns with Noah. Low and behold the unit is empty and filled with furniture, although Noah notices a camera and takes this with hopes of finding something on it. When we get to Noah's house Audrey grabs a bookend and is about to hit Noah over the head with it so he doesn't find out what is on the tape... are you serious? She could have killed her best friend. Fortunately for Noah there is no media detected so his head stays intact. Audrey receives a text with a picture of Jake's body saying "don't worry, partner. I covered for you."

Emma meets her dad, for real this time, and he doesn't give her the answers she is looking for. We later find out that he beat her mum and broke her jaw... nice. He turns up at Maggie's door and states that he has received emails from Riley about Emma and this is contributing to the reason why he came back. Maggie tells him to go to the police, due to their history and all.

There's this new Sheriff's son and he seems odd. He seems obsessed with Brooke and keeps talking to her about Jake. He even pretends to be her boyfriend when Mr Branson turns up again. This is where we find out that it was actually Mr Branson that left the flowers on Brooke's car and not Jake's killer.

Remember that poor guy who Noah interviewed for his podcast? The front desk guy, Eddie, from the hotel? Well he was savagely killed, poor guy. The killer then texts Emma pretending to be her dad and asks her to meet them in the hotel room where Eddie was killed. Luckily she does not walk in the bathroom as this is where Eddie's body is (in the bath, like Psycho with the famous shower scene). Audrey gets a live feed from the killer showing her where Emma is, and Audrey rushes to the hotel to find Emma. Luckily Emma had walked out so was safe for another night. The killer texts Audrey saying that she should not have called the police and has left the corkscrew used to kill Eddie under her seat. Cool.

I'm not digging this Audrey story-line at the moment but I am sure I will once it starts to unravel.

[Television] Scream - Season 2, Episode 2: "Psycho."

So I noticed a Vacancy reference (the sign) but not a Psycho reference...

*Spoilers*

Anyway, it turns out Emma was dreaming of the farm because her mother would take her there when she was little to visit the James family. Emma and her mother go back to that creepy barn house, only to find that there were no pictures or news paper clippings of her there at all. Brooke voiced her opinion in thinking that Emma was hallucinating, just like she did with Will and her father.

It is here that I noticed a credit: Executive Producer Wes Craven. Why haven't I noticed this before? It's super cool that Wes Craven worked on this series as he was such a great guy. Horror legend. RIP.

I kept noticing this blue Buick following Emma but thankfully we did not have to wait long to find out who it was. Her dad is officially back. Not hallucinated back, back for real.

I'm glad Kieran does not have to move to Atlanta now. But I find his aunt and cousin really weird. They are clearly in this for their own beneficial reasons and not for Kieran.

Audrey is doing my nut in. So Noah tries to get an interview with this hotel worker who claims to know Piper's accomplice. He was so close to saying who and then receives a call from Audrey that states if he tells anyone she will rip his guts out or something... Thus, putting Noah's podcast on a stand still. Noah stated that this worker said there is a room full of stuff people have left behind and he believes some stuff could belong to Piper. Is this the Psycho reference? The hotel? Perhaps I should have paid a bit more attention. Audrey breaks in after dark to find Jake's body in there with a note on how they are finishing the job for her or something. Odd. Very odd.

Normally I can write paragraphs and paragraphs but this episode I can't. I don't feel we've reached the tense part yet.

[Television] Scream - Season 2, Episode 1: "I Know What You Did Last Summer."

*Spoilers*

So just like Scream 2 we started the episode where teens are in the cinema watching a movie based on the events that happened in the lives of the characters in season 1. Audrey works in the cinema and falls for a prank done by two teens from her school. They pretend to be the killer and chase her about, leading to the part where she stabs the ghostface. I never understood people doing pranks like this, they do it in the Scream franchise and you just think, people actually died. These are the lives of real people. Anyway, Audrey is inundated with texts stating how they 'know what she did last summer' - told you there was this feel about the series. So clearly she was some accomplice, she even got really defensive when Noah suggested that there was one, to which she snapped that there wasn't. These letters to Piper are more than just incriminating. Or is Audrey just one to stick in the 'it's not what it looks like' category?

Emma returns from a psychiatric ward I'm guessing after she had a massive breakdown in school after the murders. She returns home and the others throw a welcome home party for her. Things with Kieran are weird. They broke up and remained friends, but now she is back he is acting sketchy. She has these nightmares about a barn owned by Brandon's brother and she goes to visit it. I guess we will have to keep on watching to see where this ends up, because as she investigates with Brooke, she walks into the house opposite and there are pictures and news clippings of her everywhere, also there is the (presumed) killer.

Brooke and Jake are finally together but I am so upset that this had to end so quickly. I feel so bad for Jake. He was killed in such a brutal way. How awful for him. I will miss him, and poor Brooke is yet to find out.

There is a new Sheriff in town and with a new Sheriff comes a new son, Stavos - a horror nerd like Noah, cool. We are also introduced to new girl Zoe. She knows everything about her psychology class and her and Noah seem to have a bit of chemistry.

I love the Romero reference. Audrey tells Noah that there is a 'Romero-thon.' I am a big Romero fan, love his zombie films, I even met him and London Film and Comic Con. He's really cool.

Flicking through Netflix I have noticed that all the episodes are named after horror movies. What a really cool addition. I love horror movies, so I wonder if there's reference to them all in the episodes? Hopefully season 2 does season 1 justice as season 1 was absolutely incredible.

[Television] Scream - Season 1, Episode 10: "Revelations."

Source: panchecco.deviantart.com

Blimey, wow, what a season finale.
I think season 1 was absolutely brilliant. I went in with an open mind, I did not think that they could turn a slasher movie into a television series but here we are. One of the best shows I have seen in a while. I thought it was phenomenal. I was constantly left guessing who the killer was. I fell in love with the characters, I know their names and their stories as I have followed their journeys. I feel like I can connect to them. This is a sign of a truly well written script and brilliant directing. Loved it. I really did.

*Spoilers*

This episode continues straight from the dance and the ghostface appears on screen with the Sheriff. Noah has realised that the killer has stopped connection from all phones. Thus, the friends cannot get a hold of one another during this episode.

Emma and her mother proceed to find the Sheriff and a clue leads them to the tree behind their house. We find the Sheriff strung up and barely alive. He tries to mutter something to the pair but I couldn't really make out what he was saying. As Maggie tries to cut him loose, well, the "gut-wrenching" part happens and his innards just fall out everywhere... Poor Maggie tries to hold them in but there is seriously nothing she can do for him to come back from that. Piper appears at the scene and Emma tells her she cannot get hold of her friends, Audrey and Brooke, so she asks her to go and check on them. Of course, she does this.

Audrey and Brooke are (so far) fine at Brooke's house party and are bonding over mutual feelings of the current situation. Jake turns up to try and make Brooke jealous. After a little heated argument, Jake leaves Brooke on her own. During this, a drunk girl finds a dead guy in the pool house bathroom so the whole party splits and leaves. When Audrey goes to see what happened, the killer runs up to her and presumably knocks her out. Seth Branson turns up at Brooke's house telling her how he is not the killer. He says that the person in the mask lets him out and kills the officer. He states that he knew how looked so he fled and the only place he knew where to go was to Brooke's house. She locks him out and doesn't know whether or not to believe him. This is where the lights go off and the killer appears. We don't see any more of Seth Branson. Brook is then chased by the killer and locked in the freezer where she could either live or die. Luckily, Noah and Emma arrive at the party to check on her, find Jake, find Kieran who gets there because Emma apparently *did not* text him. Kieran gives Emma a gun, again. They find Brooke and set her free.

Noah goes outside and finds Audrey, she's hurt, but alive, and the group regather. I love this part. Brook asks for someone to call a doctor and Noah says they can't because of the phone situation. Brooke states that there is "a landline inside" to which Jake replies "A landline? What is this - 1996?" 1996 is when the original Scream film was released. Nice reference there. As Emma goes to the landline it starts ringing and the killer answers. The killer has Emma's mother and tells her to go alone - to the dock where Brandon James had been shot. Emma goes alone and finds her mother tied to a chair on the dock looking very bloodied.

The killer appears and we find out that it is indeed Piper that is the killer. Turns out she's Brandon and Maggie's daughter. Yes, like she says, it's "2015" and we shouldn't be sexist. To be fair, in Scream 2 it was Mrs Loomis that was the killer, and in Friday the 13th the original killer was Mrs Voorhees. So we know that women can kill. Anyway, she tells this whole story about how she got given away, her father branded a monster and how Emma got to live a perfect life. This affects her greatly, just like Scream 3, where Sydney's brother is the killer. Same sort of story I guess. Piper states how she is going to frame Seth Branson and she will walk away a hero. She gets a few slices at Emma and Maggie, but Audrey "saw Emma run into the woods" and followed her. She ends up shooting Piper, just like her father was shot. Here's another Scream reference - Piper comes back from the water and tries to stab the girls, Emma shoots her, Audrey says "nice shot " and Emma says "they always come back" - a common theme in the Scream franchise.

So this all makes sense, yes. But then they add these after shots of Audrey burning letters from Piper and burning the documents that were stolen a year before. Was she a partner to Piper? Did they do this all together? I guess this is what season 2 is for!

[Television] Scream - Season 1, Episode 9: "The Dance."

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT AND I'LL TELL YOU WHY!
Okay so my blog is called 'And A Fiver Dollar Shake' and for MCM my boyfriend and I dressed up as Mrs Mia Wallace and Vincent Vega... so if you haven't figured out by now I am a HUGE Pulp Fiction fan. It's one of my favourite films and I love the whole Mia and Vincent story-line. SO WHEN I SAW THAT EMMA AND KIERAN WENT TO THE HALLOWEEN DANCE AS MIA AND VINCENT I FANGIRLED JUST A LITTLE BIT. To be honest I shouted "NO WAY" and rewound it about 6 times. I love it. That's so cool. I took the liberty of screen shotting it.

I did notice however, that Emma did not have the famous gold Chanel shoes... tut tut. But overall very impressed with her outfit. LOVED IT.
I also loved how Kieran managed to tie in a pony tail, and he had the earring, too. Shame he didn't have the bolo tie, as that's date night Vincent. Vincent with a tie is Vincent at work.

Anyway, back to the review.
*Spoilers*

We start out with a *1 Year Earlier* title going back to someone stealing files from Lakewood County Municipal Records. They also stole the infamous Brandon James mask. That security guy was absolutely crap! How did he not see that?

Noah suggests that Mr Branson chose his name because he merged the two words 'Brandon' and 'son' however he really isn't giving into pressure and maintains that he is innocent and does not know what they are talking about. Even when Emma went to see him. Emma understands the whole Brandon's son motive, but the spanner in the works is Rachel's staged suicide. Why would Branson do this, he allegedly killed off those in the blackmailing business (apart from Brooke) but what did Rachel know in order to be killed? This is the crucial question.

Brooke goes to stay with Jake, however, she notices her webcam turn on all by itself. Was this Jake? Or the yet-to-be-identified murderer? Not believing that Mr Branson is the murderer, Emma and Piper go to Brandon's mother to talk to her about Brandon. She is a bit senile but she says that "Brandon's boy" came to visit her as he had loads of questions about his father. After asking if his name was Seth, she said yes, ultimately putting Mr Branson back in the killer spotlight.

As this is happening, Audrey manages to find Rachel's password for the Cloud - all her videos that were previously wiped had been backed up onto the Cloud. Audrey said that Rachel filmed everything and tried to find some incriminating evidence. This is exactly what she had found. However, it was not Seth Branson that was on the film, it was that of pretty boy Kieran. He was seen to be pushing first victim Nina out of a bar, whilst giving Rachel a filthy look upon noticing her filming him. There we have it, a reason for the death of Rachel. She knew too much and had evidence. Not only was this compelling enough, Piper went back to Brandon's mother's house and showed her a yearbook picture of Mr Branson - she said that this was not the guy who came to her and instead she pointed at a picture of Kieran. I can't help but feel there is something off with Piper, though. She tried to throw Audrey under the bus at the vigil by saying incriminating things to Emma about her, and now the whole Kieran story? Seems odd. I don't know, just a hunch.

The Sheriff goes to a house to investigate where some of the calls to Emma started, it's here where he gets attacked by the killer. Low and behold, Kieran is late to the dance because he has something to do. Also weird. Audrey tells Emma of the video evidence and when Emma tells Kieran he gets defensive and leaves. This is when we find out about Piper going back to Brandon's mothers house. Emma tells Piper that Kieran has left and they proceed to try and find him. We know that Brooke is alone at her house and Audrey just left to go there, so I'm worried about their safety.

The episode ends with a video of the Sheriff flashing up on a screen at the dance. He looks severely beaten and bloody but he is still alive. The scene cuts to the Sheriff's station and there lays a dead police officer and you can hear the radio saying that Branson has escaped and he's "armed and dangerous." What is going on here then? Loads to be resolved!

[Television] Scream - Season 1, Episode 8: "Ghosts."

Source: amazing-zuckonit.deviantart.com

*Spoilers*

I feel bad for Emma, those hallucinations she is getting are awful. I didn't actually think we would see Will's head but we saw it more than enough in episode 8. Emma is trying to put on a front and act like she is okay in front of her friends and family, but, it is clear that she is definitely not okay. The doctor tries to give her pills to take the edge off and help her sleep but they are clearly not working. She is then sent into a ward after she has a bit of a breakdown. This is where I got confused, did her dad actually visit her or not? She said 'it wasn't real' so I'm guessing she meant the visit from her dad? It's here she remembers the conversation that her mother and father had the night he left. And it's here where her mother admits that just like Emma, her boyfriend (Emma's dad) had slept with her best friend. She was hurt, and angry and Brandon gave her a lift home from the bowling alley where he worked. One thing led to another and Maggie (Daisy) fell pregnant with Brandon's baby. She was 16, so her parents moved town with her and put the baby up for a closed adoption. Clearly, Emma's dad found out about this and walked out. This adds the question, is it Brandon and Daisy's child that has come back to commit these murders?

However, Audrey and Noah are convinced that it's their teacher, who, in 2013 changed his name because he had an affair with an 18 year old student, but, she was found dead. He fled, and changed his name. Furthermore, Audrey and Noah found a phone (the one that was used to text Riley) and a knife in his classroom hidden in the vent. They then called the Sheriff.

We find out that the body that Brooke's father was hiding was in fact that of her mother's drug dealer. He had overdosed in their house in the spare room and her father didn't know what to do - being Mayor and all. Brooke rings her mum and we are assured that she is still alive. Brooke is clearly upset and ends up back in the arms of her teacher. They share a kiss in the school theatre and he hears a noise. Upon investigating this noise Brook is attacked by the killer and her arm is slashed. Unfortunately for her she is just in her underwear. The teacher appears, the killer disappears and the police show up, ultimately arresting Mr Branson because a. he is with a student in her underwear and b. she was almost killed.

[Television] Scream - Season 1, Episode 7: "In The Trenches."

Source: Entertainment-Focus

I think this is one of the best - and probably goriest - episodes I have seen so far.

*Spoilers*

So now we know that Will is not dead, do we cue a sigh of relief? I guess so, because he's a main character and all. Emma receives a call to try and find Will so she goes to Noah and tracks his phone - imagine if you could have done that in the nineties. Anyway, Noah is super cool when it comes to technology and tracks Will's phone to an abandoned bowling alley.

Brooke and Jake's relationship seems to be growing as he goes with her whilst she confronts her father about her missing mother. However, there is still something creepy going on with him.

There's this weird mother-daughter, father-son going on with Emma, her mother, Kieran and his father. A big happy family of, er, couples. We then start to question Emma's feelings for Kieran as the episode goes on. During a family meal Emma asks Kieran to lie about her whereabouts as she goes looking for Will with Noah, Brooke and Jake. This is all occurring whilst Audrey sits her mid terms that she missed whilst she was in police custody. After finding Will hanging from the ceiling by his arms, Emma seems distraught at his possible death. He then takes a massive gulp of air and the chemistry between Emma and Will is more than just obvious. She loves him still. The killer makes an appearance to Brooke and she rushes to the others, leaving Jake alone.

The killer carves 'B4' in Will's back, which leads Emma to a drawer with a cassette tape in it. Upon listening to this cassette we hear Emma's father upset at the fact that her mother had slept with Brandon. Blimey, did not see that coming to be honest! I wondered if there was a crush of some sort, but nothing this serious. With the killer still about he makes himself known and tries to chase them all down. After calling Noah, Audrey is worries and goes to Emma's house to see her mother - blowing the whole lie apart. The Sheriff is there and calls back up to the bowling alley. Jake is stabbed but gladly, he will be okay, as will Will.

I appreciate Noah's little line when Jake said "let's split up" and he replied "said no-one who survived a horror movie ever" and there was also a Scream (1996) hint to Randy (and I guess Stu) when Emma said "I know this sounds crazy, but I'll be right back." I love these little references. I also feel that near the end where Noah said that Jake and Will could cause harm to themselves in order to take them off the suspect list was also playing homage to Billy and Stu as they did the exact same thing.

Kieran senses that Emma has feelings for Will and gives her space. She then goes to Will's house to watch a movie as it is clear that this whole 'Will could have died scenario' has brought back old feelings. She brings sweets and seems happy, until the killer gives her a nasty, 'unforgiving' call stating that she gave Will a second chance, just like her mother did. Just like Scream (1996) Emma turns up and finds Will tied to a chair with duct tape over his mouth. Just like Casey (Drew Barrymore) found her boyfriend, Steve, on her porch. Although the difference this time is that Will has a massive tractor blade thing (I have no idea what it is called) rotating behind his head. Unfortunately, Emma does not assess the situation properly, runs into a trip wire and this causes the tractor to go into drive, smashing into Will's head and blood and brains go everywhere, all over Emma. Nice. So he survives *sigh of relief* to then be brutally killed in a way worse than any other death so far.

[Television] Scream - Season 1, Episode 6: "Betrayed."

Source: Entertainment-Focus

*Spoilers*

Yes, so, I actually I thought they went into Brandon's house... then when Emma nearly got stabbed by, well, herself, we knew it was all a dream. Is it guilt? Perhaps. She may blame herself for all of these deaths. But right now, I'm not sure why that scene was relevant.

*Yes I am aware that Emma's mum is called Maggie, it's just easier to call her Daisy*

Audrey gets taken in for questioning about Nina's death. This is because her DNA was found on the mask that was in the hospital. I recall someone taking it off the shelf (resulting in Tyler's head falling off the shelf) but I can't remember who. Was it Audrey? The new detective seems very harsh, she's nasty and bends the rules for her own gain. Like questioning a minor without parental supervision and using scare tactics against Audrey. Audrey manages to quickly call Emma whilst she is at the station and asks her to go into her house and remove the SD card from the night Nina was killed. Well, this sounds incriminating, does it not? Emma and Noah retrieve the card and of course curiosity kicks in and they watch the clip together. It shows Rachel filming Audrey having a very angry rant about what Nina did to them both, almost implying that she was going to kill her. Emma gets her out by saying she was with Audrey the night Nina died. Apparently, Audrey states that what we don't see is when the clip ends, Rachel throws her keys out the window in order to stop her from doing something stupid.

Can I just add, Audrey reading a Hellboy comic is super cool. I appreciated that.

We get a sweet heart to heart from *Maggie* to Emma, in which she tells her what happened when she was younger. It's touching and heart felt and really makes you feel for this Brandon character. (Even if he did go on to commit mass murder.)

Will has offered a deal with Piper in order to save his own name really. He takes her along with him to meet Mayor Maddox, in which he gives him the 'last copy' of the video used to blackmail him AND the money he has given so far. I wasn't expecting the next scene to happen though, Piper and Will end up getting locked in this abandoned garage place, next thing Ghostface appears and stabs Will! Piper hits the floor and smashes her head, making her unable to help Will. Will is then dragged away and we don't know if he is dead or alive. What a cliff hanger.

[Television] Scream - Season 1, Episode 5: "Exposed."

Source: Entertainment-Focus

*Spoilers*

I'm wondering if Kieran is the killer now to be honest. There's references to Sydney Prescott and her mother, Maureen Prescott. In Scream (the original) Billy (the eventual killer) blames Maureen for the splitting up of his parents as he calls her a 'whore' (I believe) and says she was sleeping with his father. Similar thing here. Emma finds a shot from the video that went viral on her and someone wrote "just like your mother" or something. Coincidentally, Emma's mum is in a relationship with Kieran's father... interesting. Now, Emma is hooking up with Kieran.

People are losing faith in the Sheriff and his department is being taken over by what appears to be an old flame - Detective Lorraine Brock. She seems annoying already. Over confident and subtly flirts with the Sheriff in a cruel, unwanted way.

Did we just find out that Brooke's dad killer her mum? So this is what Jake and Will were using to blackmail the Mayor. Jake ends up showing Brooke, putting all the blame on Will. BUT, previous to this, Noah and Audrey discover that it's that creepy, pervert teacher (that Brooke is sleeping with) who has added some sort of malware to their homework page which makes it possible for them to access webcams, phone cameras and just about any other camera. Were Will, Jake, Nina and the teacher all in this blackmailing thing together? Perhaps. Unbeknownst to the Mayor, Detective Brock has managed to get into Nina's computer and can see all of her files.

It ends with Kieran creepily taking Emma to target practice and offering her to keep a gun. Which is weird. They then get steamy out in the woods. Thing is, Kieran seems way over confident when talking to Emma about the killer and it made me question him.

[Television] Scream - Season 1, Episode 4: "Aftermath."

Source: Entertainment-Focus

*Spoilers*

First of all I'm definitely getting an I Know What You Did Last Summer vibe between Jake and Will. Clearly something is going on here that we are yet to find out. So far I presume that they had some sort of blackmailing 'business' with Nina and Tyler, they obviously blackmailed people of a high profile. I am guessing this due to the files Emma, Noah and Audrey found on Nina's computer.

Which... leads me to another point, or should I say paragraph. That whole hospital scene was super freaky. It was so tense when they found the 'body' I was literally sitting here, heart pounding, thinking who the hell is this going to be? It was then revealed to be a rotting pig! Gross! However, we soon discover that this is in fact where the heart delivered to Emma's doorstop came from. I think this whole scene was brilliant. It was tense, it was thought-provoking, it was heart poundingly good. We see old medical files to do with Brandon's face and mask. Then, the find a mask, and low and behold it is attached to Tyler's head, ultimately blowing the whole 'Tyler did it, case closed' conclusion. Of course, we knew from the start Tyler did not do it, but the whole town did not and after finding his car crashed after Riley's murder it was *clear* to them who was the murderer. Wrong!

I like the old school 1994 year book vibe. With the killer removing the photos of Brandon's victims and crossing out Emma's dad's face because he was the only survivor. Ultimately leading the group to the hospital in the first place as this is where the mask was created.

It ends with only one file being ripped from Nina's computer to Audrey's SD card, and this file was a video of Emma's "first time" with Will. Noah and Audrey accidentally send this to everyone... literally everyone... uh oh. I wonder what this video was used for? Or who it was used to blackmail? Poor Emma.

*Spoilers*

So Emma overhears her mother and the Sheriff discussing Rachel's death and the Sheriff decides to launch a murder investigation. Whilst eavesdropping Emma finds out that her mother isn't telling her the while truth and eventually finds out that her mother is actually Daisy (the girl Brandon was obsessed with) and is upset that her mother did not tell her.

I'm a little confused about Will and Jake - they are fighting over money they hid and they keep referring to Nina and about how they could go down for something concerning her... now whether or not this is her murder, I am unsure, but if it is her murder then I think it's too obvious. Apparently she had some blackmailing thing going on with them and she played them off of each other, even beyond the grave... weird. I think this story-line is intriguing me more than it should.

Why kill off Riley? I loved Riley and Noah, I love their little love story, and the way she was into cool stuff - stuff that I liked and things that Noah liked. I feel she had more potential than to be killed off like this. Her dying call to Riley was heartbreaking and I could feel myself getting emotional. I guess that is the sign of a good series though - I actually care about certain characters.

I'm getting slightly fed up of Brooke already. Not personally, but her story-line about sleeping with her teacher. It's all very seedy and the teacher is starting to make me cringe a little bit.

Overall, gutted about Riley as she was lovely, cool and a smart popular girl. Not like your usual, stereotypical airhead popular girls. But, again, drawn in and I am starting to feel for the characters, I'm sad for Noah for losing Riley and Brooke is annoying me. And, I remember most of their names, so that suggests that I have been glued to the show without my mind wandering through boredom.

[Television] Scream - Season 1, Episode 2: "Hello, Emma."

Source: SciFiNow

We finally got it! The whole "what's your favourite scary movie?" Well, a similar line anyway which was kind of cool.

*Spoilers... sort of*

Nina's boyfriend, Tyler, is still being hunted down as he is believed to be the murderer by the whole town. Little do they know, though, that he died along with Nina and they are focusing on the wrong guy.

I tell you what I am so gutted that Rachel got murdered. Bless her, beyond bullied for that video where she was kissing Audrey, she was clearly in a fragile state anyway when we were showed that she would cut herself. Her death reminds me of Sarah Michelle-Gellar's death in Scream 2 (I can't remember her character's name). She was thrown off a balcony, however, she wasn't hung. The killer tried to disguise it as a suicide by hanging her from a ceiling fan, but autopsy reports by Daisy (Emma's mother) show that her neck had snapped and this would not have happened if she hung herself.

This episode we are introduce to a lady called Piper, she is the voice behind a True Crime podcast which many of the students listen to. She is a reporter and tries to ask as many students as she can for their opinion on Nina and also their point of view of the murders an the Brandon story. She claims that she is trying to 'find the truth.' I guess Piper is the new Gale Weathers?

Finally, the geek gets the girl when it comes to Noah. He and Riley hit it off big time and she is overly interested in all of the same things he is. She flirts more, and tries to prompt dates, but poor Noah doesn't get the hint until they are on the football field kissing.

Will cheated on Emma a while ago apparently and the creep is trying to worm his way back in. As a drunken, upset, revenge act Emma kisses new boy and school hottie, Kieran who sheds light on Will's actual behaviour. He suggests he isn't genuine and basically blows a hole in Will's whole sob story.

After this we get the whole scary movie call - loved this addition.
Overall, great episode and I am still left curious. The episodes are on for 45 minutes and I thought that I had ages left. When I looked I had 5 minutes to go - which shows how addictive this series is, I sat through 40 minutes and it felt like 10.

[Television] Scream - Season 1, Episode 1: "Pilot."

Source: IMDb

The original Scream trilogy (let's leave Scream 4 to one side) has always been at the top of my list of favourite Slasher films. I thought I'd give this series a go as it seems right up my street.

Well, what can I say, I am very impressed so far.

I'd like to quickly point out a quote said by Noah - the Randy-type character (he is pretty much Randy from the original trilogy) he said something along the lines of "you can't turn a slasher film into a TV series." This was my original thought when I first heard about this series, but they clearly wrote that line because they knew that this would be the general assumption. Remember when Randy gave the whole 'Rules of a Trilogy' and that whole chat whilst they were watching Halloween about 'how to survive a slasher movie' - Noah pretty much does the same thing here, too. Randy was my favourite character so it's cool to see someone like him.

*Spoilers*

Clearly, this series is focused on a girl called Emma - a smart girl gone popular. But when one reaches popularity, friendships may be left behind (Emma's friendship with Audrey). It starts with a in-series mobile video of two girls kissing in a car, these two girls are later revealed to be Audrey and Rachel. Uploaded to the internet out of sheer spite by the bad-girl Nina, her character is introduced, but only briefly. This is until she starts receiving texts and videos of herself at that current moment in time by her apparent boyfriend. Turns out, he has actually been decapitated and Nina gets her throat slashed... how unfortunate. It is in this moment that we see the new Ghostface mask... it's creepy, and sort of looks like something from 'The Purge' films. There really is a modern take on the 90's original films, as Nina tries to call 911 via Siri and it tries to call Pottery Barn. I miss the 90's cord phones in slasher films, I feel mobile phones make things a bit tacky.

Then, we are introduced to the circle of friends and are left guessing who (if any) are the killer(s)? There's a reference to Billy and Stu (Scream 1), could it be Emma's boyfriend and his best pal? Something seems suspicious about them two. There was also a neat little garage reference, and we all know that this is where Stu's girlfriend was killed in the original Scream. But then every character seems to have a slight suspicion about them so we are definitely left guessing. Every character seems to be revealing a dirty little secret that makes you consider them as a suspect.

Did anyone else feel a Friday the 13th's Camp Crystal Lake vibe? Firstly with this whole Brandon story - a deformed young man with a severe love interest (Emma's mother, Daisy) who ends up killing a bunch of high schoolers and eventually getting shot and falls in to the lake. (Story is that he has returned to Lakewood to continue killing, however this seems unlikely). And the lake that Noah was left out on screamed Friday the 13th, even the way he thought he was dragged into the water.

I think the directors have done this series justice so far. If it keeps to the same theme, ideas, cool references and good acting then I believe it will be a success. I really hope that this series does not become crappy as it has drawn me in a lot just from the pilot episode. I wasn't left bored, or underwhelmed, I was left wanting to know more. I was waiting for the famous phone calls that started in the original franchise, the phone calls are iconic, no doubt about it, and we got one right at the end, a call to Emma, perfectly tying in with the originals.

[Television] The Exorcist - Season 1, Episode 1: "And Let My Cry Come Unto Thee."

Source: IMDb

I didn't quite know what to expect from a TV show based on the classic film 'The Exorcist' but, I was pleasantly surprised.

*This is an episode recap so could be considered as spoilers*

We are introduce to a Priest named Father Tomas, who lived in Mexico with his grandma and then moved back to the USA. There is a lady at his Church (Angela) who visits him as she feels that something odd is going on at her house. Recently, her daughter's (Kat) friend died in a car accident (Kat was also in the car) however, her mother is convinced that she is not depressed about her friend dying, and that she is in actual fact possessed. Such an odd conclusion to come to? Father Tomas suggests that there are no such thing as demons and that demons are a mere metaphor for illnesses such as depression and anxiety. Anyway, Angela claims that there are voices in the walls and even though she is a well-respected woman, she reiterates that she is not crazy and insists that her daughter is possessed.

The show splits to Mexico City and to the story of a man named Father Marcus. Father Marcus is currently trying to exorcise a demon from a young boy called Gabriel - without success. Father Bennett from the Vatican shows up looking for Father Marcus and discovers the young boy. Upon threatening to out Father Marcus and take the child to the hospital, Father Marcus pulls a gun on Father Bennett and tells him to leave. Now this is where it gets weird, as Father Marcus performs the exorcism of young Gabriel, Father Tomas (back in the US) witnesses the whole process through some kind of dream/vision. Unfortunately, the exorcism was unsuccessful and the demon snaps the poor boy's neck. After having this vision, Father Tomas seeks out Father Marcus in the hope for guidance on the subject of demonic possession. Father Marcus tells Father Tomas that he is way out of his depth and he is being pushed by other forces, forces that even he does not understand. He tells him not to get involved, but of course, Father Tomas does indeed get involved.

Father Tomas goes to speak to Kat and to be honest, I really don't like her. She's rude, arrogant, obnoxious and the way she talks to her parents is just disgusting. Father Tomas confides in Angela that he never heard the calling from God that all Priests claim to have had. He does claim, however, that he heard God call to him to help Angela's family... BANG they hear a noise from the attic and Father Tomas goes to investigate. Well this bit frightened the life out of me. Instead of seeing the supposedly possessed, Kat. Father Tomas runs into her little sister, Casey, who is just, I have no words, creepy as Hell. Of course, as her mother comes up the stairs she is sweet little butter-wouldn't-melt Casey again and acts all innocent.

After this, Father Tomas leaves and the classic 'Tubular Bells' plays as sweet Casey is smiling at Father Tomas from her window. CREEPY GIRL.

I pretty much wrote the whole episode but hey, it was a really interesting start to a well anticipated new series. Hopefully this does it justice and I am looking forward to watching episode 2.

[Marvel] Doctor Strange Film Review

Source: Wikipedia

Whenever I see a Marvel film I am never disappointed. I recently went to the cinema to see the new 'Doctor Strange' film and it was amazing. (There are two post-credit scenes so don't miss these!)

*Spoilers*

The story behind Doctor Stephen Strange himself caught my attention straight away. Played by Benedict Cumberbatch, Strange is a renowned neurosurgeon. He is brilliant at his job and he knows it, he gives off cocky vibes and an arrogant attitude. However, this is ultimately his downfall. After racing around dangerous roads in severe weather conditions, Strange flies off a cliff, lands in a lake of some sort - his hands are crushed during the process. Now, obviously, every neurosurgeon needs steady hands in order to do their job and unfortunately, due to his obnoxious attitude Strange loses this ability.

After receiving physiotherapy and losing faith his physiotherapist tells Strange of a man he once treated - a man that should not have been able to walk again, but low and behold, he did. Strange seeks out the patient who then tells him about a place he went to - Kathmandu, Nepal, where he sought out The Ancient One. Strange follows in his footsteps and meets The Ancient One.

Without writing the whole plot to this film, Strange reads that Earth is protected from other dimensions - especially the Dark Dimension. The Ancient one and her followers are the protectors of Earth in three sanctums - New York, London and Hong Kong. The Evil sorcerer, Kaecilius tries to invoke the dark dimension and Strange posses the power to stop him (long story short).

There was a great quote from Wong (the librarian): "While heroes like the Avengers protect the world from physical dangers. We sorcerers safeguard it against more mystical threats."

Overall, phenomenal acting, absolutely brilliant story-line and a definite must-see for any Marvel fan (or not).

American Horror Story: My Roanoke Nightmare

Source: Wikipedia

So since I created this blog after I started watching American Horror Story (which was when Season 1 came out) I'm just going to give my general view of this season so far, as opposed to episode by episode which I usually do. I will probably then write a post after the last episode.

*Spoilers*

In my opinion, this season is definitely not the best. I understand the story - TV show within a TV show and people are getting murdered etc. But I feel that there is just so much unnecessary violence. I swear the writers just write scenes in order to add the most goriest death and torture scenes they possibly can. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for gore and I love slasher films. But this... it's just over the top. They are trying to hit us hard with the shock factor and to be honest, I don't like it. It's too over the top that it moves away from the story-line and makes me not want to watch it.

Like these scenes with the hillbillies - are they necessary characters so far? Not really. Okay, they were trying to buy the house because they have a pact with the Butcher and her clan to keep people off the land and, in return, she keeps their crops growing (crops as in weed, clearly). This all makes sense, BUT, I feel the intense story-line of the most recent episode was just unneeded. Their story should have ended when they brought Flora, Shelby and Matt to the Butcher. Did we really need to watch Audrey and Monet eat Lee's leg? I wanted to throw up. Furthermore, in previous episodes where: Shelby smashed Matt's head in (horrific), people getting burned alive, dead pig fetuses, Cricket Marlowe's guts getting pulled out, the list goes on... it's horrendous, and all scenes were gut wrenching. Although saying this, I feel a contradictory opinion coming here, the hillbillies seem to be an escape goat for the writers as the story in the house, well, there's just too much going on. Too many back stories - piggy man, the nurse sisters, the butcher and her clan, the witch Scathach played by Lady Gaga, plus the stories of all of the characters - Shelby, Matt, Lee. The plot of the house does not seem to be going anywhere, so they have written in these cannibalistic hillbillies to divert our attention.

I'm just wondering how this will all end? What if it's TVception and it's another TV show and they're all alive still? I don't know. No doubt there will be a massive plot twist that none of us expect.

Can I just add, Sarah Paulson's awful English accent is driving me crazy. We do not speak like that at all!!

Considering this blog is new and I haven't written about the previous seasons, (I plan on doing this) here is the list of my favourite seasons in order:

1. Asylum
2. Murder House
3. Freak Show
4. Hotel
5. My Roanoke Nightmare
6. Coven

MCM - London Excel - 29/10/16

I have never cosplayed before but last weekend at the London Excel MCM event my boyfriend (Jack) and I decided to dress up as Mrs Mia Wallace and Vincent Vega (from Tarantino's Pulp Fiction - one of my favourite films). In my opinion it was the greatest love story that never was!
We've gone for years but being our first time dressed up we were very nervous. As soon as we walked out of the car park a girl asked for a picture with us! I'm normally so shy so I was really embarrassed, but I was so happy because we must have looked like our characters for someone to recognise us! In the hall a few more people asked for pictures with us and it was so odd receiving this attention. But I appreciate the people complimenting us and wanting a photo - I think these people are lovely.

My New Companion Blog!

My name is Sarah and I usually write a blog about zombies. However, I have been watching many TV shows, reading other non-zombie graphic novels and getting involved in general non-zombie stuff. I love writing reviews and with this blog I will not be limited to just zombie orientated stuff. So I thought I would create a companion blog to run alongside my zombie one!

If you want to check out my zombie blog it is called:
